Senior Ocean Export Coordinator - Bilingual Korean

Freight Forwarding Rancho Dominguez, California


Under the direction and supervision of the IPS Manager and Sr. Logistics Coordinator, the Senior Ocean Export Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for all aspects of assigned accounts by processing export shipments and all related activities for the assigned base of accounts. Process related documentation and traffic coordination required to correctly process goods in an timely manner.


  • Understand the processes, documentation, and terminology involved in international air shipping from time of purchase order issuance through the delivery of the cargo. 
  • Schedule and monitor transportation-related activities, including pickups and deliveries daily
  • Keep record of shipments and review AWB
  • Report any discrepancies and delays while working with logistics vendors to ensure on-time arrival
  • Track shipments, and resolve any billing or shipping discrepancies by continuously communicating with customers and vendors
  • Coordinate tasks on the air export shipments to meet all customer SOP requirements: booking approvals, processing pre-alerts, governmental filings, executing delivery, ensuring proper invoicing, etc.
  • Collaborate with our international team members and third-party transportation agents to ensure better efficiency, excellent customer service and problem solving.
  • E-Commerce business with DG experience a plus.
  • Build great relationships with customers, respond and follow up on issue resolution in timely manner
  • Provide reports and supporting documents to customers with accuracy.
  • Participate in customer business reviews.
  • Show ability to respond to customers’ contingencies wisely.
  • Apply industry knowledge and critical thinking to adapt processes and to find solutions in response to both internal external challenges


  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Experience: 

  • Over 2 years of experience of international air freight forwarding business.

  • Proven track record of strong customer service skills, interacting with customers and being client focused
  • Excellent follow up with customers and the network
  • Critical-thinking, flexibility, and problem-solving skills to adapt to ever-changing tasks and customer needs
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Bachelor’s degree
