Position Overview
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading and motivating Warehouse Supervisors and frontline employees at the Logistics Center to meet productivity and quality targets. This role focuses heavily on coaching and developing the operations team to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent performance. The Warehouse Manager will also collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to drive initiatives, allocate resources effectively, and implement solutions and training programs. As a key leader within the distribution center, this position is expected to set a strong example through professionalism, integrity, and accountability, while remaining approachable and supportive to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Provide Strong Leadership
- Set and communicate clear expectations across the team.

Manage and Develop Warehouse Supervisors
- Train, coach, and hold Warehouse Supervisors accountable for performance and team development.
- Ensure Supervisors are actively training, observing, and coaching frontline employees to meet operational standards.
- Conduct regular team meetings.
- Maintain high visibility and strong presence on the warehouse floor to support and engage the team.
- Deliver consistent and transparent communication at all employee levels.
- Lead and participate in local initiatives inclusive of social awareness and employee events.
- Facilitate monthly safety committee meetings and ensure a strong safety culture.
- Lead and participate in site management meetings and employee round tables.
- Help employees connect their work to the Company’s mission and customer’s goals.
Deliver Operational Performance (Safety, Quality, Productivity, Customer Requirements)
- Execute and monitor action plans to achieve key performance targets.
- Manage workforce planning and staffing levels to meet operational demands. Partner with HR on these initiatives.
- Review individual and team performance with Supervisors and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead cost reduction initiatives and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Support Supervisors in identifying and resolving performance gaps.
- Support and participate in inventory counts and quality audits.
- Collaborate with leadership to manage supplies and scheduling.
Ensure a Safe, Organized, and Productive Work Environment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-managed facility; promptly address any issues or damage.
- Troubleshoot problems and remove obstacles so Supervisors can effectively manage their teams.
- Ensure systems and processes are functioning to maximize operational efficiency.
- Optimize workflows to support throughput and process adherence.
- Serve as a key liaison between warehouse Operations and other warehouse functions (e.g., Customer Service, Shared Services, Inventory).
Perform other related job duties as assigned or required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field is preferred – or equivalent relevant experience.
- 3+ years of experience managing teams and leading other supervisors or leaders.
- Proven leadership skills with strengths in organization, communication, and cross-functional teamwork.
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations with experience in a distribution and/or manufacturing environment.
- Strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment – exhibiting passion for safety.
- Excellent planning, organizational, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication skills with a high level of emotional intelligence.
- Foundational skillset in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word.
- Ability to adapt quickly, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to effectively engage with both frontline employees and leadership teams to positively influence culture and drive results.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating or overseeing use of Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
- Prior experience utilizing Blue Yonder or Körber WMS systems.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the physical ability to:
- Stand and/or walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours, depending on shift)
- Sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed
- Climb stairs, ladders, and/or scaffolds at various heights including ground-level and racking zones occasionally
- Reach with hands and arms overhead and below waist level
- Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- Occasionally lift heavier items with or without assistance
- Use fine motor skills/manual dexterity to operate equipment, tools, or keyboards
- Frequently use hands and fingers to handle, grasp, or control objects
- See clearly at close range and at distance, with peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Hear and understand verbal instructions, alarms, and equipment signals in a noisy environment
- Sit for prolonged periods of time at a desk while working on a computer
- Speak and hear clearly in person, virtually, and over the phone
Work Environment
This position operates in a hybrid environment, with responsibilities carried out in both a warehouse setting and an office environment. In the warehouse, the employee is exposed to:
- Varying temperatures, including but not limited to refrigerated or non-climate controlled areas
- Loud noise levels, such as machinery, forklifts, and conveyor systems
- Dust, odors, and airborne particles
- Concrete flooring and moving mechanical equipment
- Frequent exposure to powered industrial vehicles and warehouse traffic
The employee is required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and high-visibility vests.
In the office environment, the employee will use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and printers. The noise level in the office is typically quiet to moderate, and the area is climate-controlled.
Salary Range: 85,000-92,000 per yr
Location/Remote Eligibility
This role may be performed on-site only.
