Invoicing Analyst

Position Overview
Reporting to the Invoicing Manager, this person will be a key member of the finance team supporting the company's growth by assisting in completing the monthly invoicing requirements, designing and implementing new solutions, acting as back-up to the manager, and assisting the Invoicing team members in completing the monthly duties for that role.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Download data from various CJL systems into Excel
- Work with Logistics Center personnel to validate data
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal Logistics Center personnel and external customers through solid written and communication skills
- Solicit accessorial input from Logistics Centers, Transportation Operations and Audit teams and be able to validate
- Develop, analyze and review data required for invoicing
- Develop and maintain invoicing templates for weekly, monthly, and ad hoc invoices.
- Design and implement new invoicing solutions
- Issue, record and distribute weekly, monthly, and ad hoc invoices
- Track and analyze historical invoicing trends
- Track start-up costs and analyze variance to estimate
- Complete variance to budget analysis
- Maintain documentation of invoicing processes
- Assist with information requests / invoicing questions from customers and Logistics Center personnel
- Provide support and direction for Invoicing Coordinator
- Perform other related job duties as assigned or required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required in accounting, finance, math, or related field
- 2-3 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, data analysis, or math.
- Strong PC skills including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- MercuryGate or other Transportation Management Systems experience required
- Strong interpersonal verbal and written skills for internal communications with Logistics Centers and external communications with customers
- Attention to detail, conscientiousness and organizational skills is a must
- Must be team-oriented, able to work independently and cooperatively
- Must be able to balance priorities, manage multiple weekly and monthly deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing others preferred
- SAP experience is a plus
- Prior process management experience is a plus
- The ability to learn new systems is a plus
- Intermediate knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel required, advanced knowledge and experience a plus
Physical Requirements
This is largely a sedentary role requiring the physical ability to:
- Sit for prolonged periods of time at a desk while working on a computer
- Use hands and fingers to operate a keyboard, mouse, and telephone
- Speak and hear clearly in person, virtually, and over the phone
- Occasionally stand, walk, reach, stoop, or lift up to 10 pounds

- Salary: Your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. We anticipate this role to pay a minimum base salary of $55,000, but actual base pay will depend on the successful candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience

Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and printers.
The work environment is typically quiet to moderate in noise level and is climate controlled.
Location/Remote Eligibility
This is a hybrid role based out of our Des Plaines, IL office. Regular, on-site presence is required (4) days per week or as otherwise directed by the company.
Schedule
Work hours may vary by shift assignment and may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime based on business needs.
Flexible hours may be required to support deadlines or cross-functional collaboration.
