Position Overview:
 
As a Brokerage Operations Representative, you will be responsible for building and growing relationships with truckload carriers within CJ Logistics Brokerage. You will be responsible for covering loads with vetted carriers, ensuring profitability and service.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Use industry experience to attract, develop, and grow relationships with truckload carriers
  • Learn, follow, and suggest improvements to processes and systems.
  • Negotiate and manage spot rates, contracts, terms and renewals with carriers and send for approval to the manager
  • Leverage CJ technology suite to negotiate competitive pricing, drive automation, and create efficiencies for carrier partners.
  • Maintain consistent communication with carriers to manage customer expectations and timely delivery. 
  • All other Job Duties assigned
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in a carrier sales or broker role within
  • Experience with rate negotiations and load execution
  • Experience working in a Transportation Management System (TMS)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with Mercury Gate TMS, DAT, FourKites, Convoy for Brokers, Google Office and Trucker Tools
  • Ability to persuade, motivate, influence and negotiate with carriers
  • Successful candidates in this role will have experience working in a brokerage/spot environment.
