    Now Hiring: Manager, Quality Assurance

    CJ Logistics America is seeking a dedicated Manager, Quality Assurance to lead the implementation and continuous improvement of our Quality Management System across our logistics center network. Reporting to the VP, Safety, Security and Compliance, this leadership role is responsible for establishing product quality control plans, ensuring internal compliance, providing technical leadership, and maintaining regulatory standards across pharmaceutical, food, and regulated customer environments. As a champion of operational excellence, you will serve as a change agent to build and sustain a proactive quality and continuous improvement culture.

    • Salary: Your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. We anticipate this role to pay a base salary between $124,000 - $135,000 per year, but actual base pay will depend on the successful candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.

    • Schedule: Ability to work a flexible schedule to support deadlines or cross-functional collaboration, but typically 8:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday.

    • Location: This position works a hybrid schedule out of our corporate office in Des Plaines, IL, requiring regular on-site presence four (4) days per week.

    What You'll Do:

    • Control Plan Architecture: Develop and document product quality checks, frequencies, methods, and procedures for warehousing operations that build the criteria for a control plan.

    • QMS Training & Education: Deliver effective and continuous training and support on the Quality Management System (QMS), principles, and methodologies.

    • Compliance & Oversight: Oversee system performance, monitor internal compliance, and drive continuous improvement across the network.

    • Continuous Improvement Leadership: Act as a change agent in supporting the growth of the continuous improvement culture and drive the implementation and sustainment of visual control management throughout facilities.

    • Audit Management & Corrective Actions: Assist with third-party audit preparations and manage corrective action plans.

    • Regulatory Licensing & Registrations: Manage and complete applicable licensing and registrations for CJ Logistics operations regarding pharmaceutical, food, and other regulatory requirements.

    • Quality System Planning: Maintain and develop various quality system planning programs, including HACCP, SQF, and Food Defense plans.

    What You Bring to the Table:

    • Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or 5 years of equivalent professional experience.

    • Operations Background: 2 to 4 years of experience in an operations environment, with practical experience in food manufacturing, supply chain management, or related quality systems fields.

    • Leadership Abilities: Proven experience managing small teams and leading through influence.

    • Regulatory Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of HACCP, cGMPs, FSMA, sanitation programs, pest control, internal audits, QA Management Systems, and FDA, USDA, and state quality requirements.

    • Analytical & PM Skills: Excellent analytical, project management, time management, and organizational skills.

    • Communication Savvy: Effective oral and written communication skills with management, colleagues, and internal and external customers.

    • Travel Flexibility: Ability and willingness to travel up to approximately 30% of the time to facilities across the network.

    • Physical & Environment Readiness: Ability to work in a hybrid setting, balancing desk work with active site walkthroughs. Must be capable of wearing required PPE (steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, high-visibility vests) and working around varying temperatures, loud noises, and industrial equipment traffic.
