The VP of Brokerage is responsible for all aspects of the CJ Logistics Freight Brokerage capability. This includes people leadership, strategic plan development, acquisition of new customers, and servicing and relationships with existing customers. The VP is responsible for the operating P&L which will be measured through KPI’s including, but not limited to revenue, gross margin and costs associated with the Brokerage business.
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Generate new customer acquisitions through his/her own efforts, and indirectly through National Account Executives and Customer Sales teams
  • Manage deals from initial partner contact to contract signing, launch and growth
  • Manage the entire sales performance process of the Carrier Sales and Transactional Sales segments
  • Service customers through the Support, Execution and Operations teams
  • Ensure that expectations of both new and existing customers are met as efficiently and cost effectively as possible
  • Foster an environment of collaboration, trust and respect among all operational and sales teams
  • Develop, implement and manage action plans to meet financial targets and expand capabilities
  • Co-ownership of Freight Brokerage tech-stack and roadmap in conjunction with the CIO’s office
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Logistics/Supply Chain or related field required
  • MBA preferred
  • 15+ years of experience of transportation sales and operations experience, with 7+ years in a senior leadership role
  • Ability to bring in new customers
  • Proven revenue, gross margin and cost management results
  • Strong negotiation skills, persuasiveness, aggressiveness and confidence
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Base Salary Range - $182,000 to $200,000 plus commission
