Position Overview:
The Production Planner is an independent critical thinking position responsible for developing, implementing, communicating, and monitoring the daily work assignment queue, analyzing status, and independently making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful on-time and accurate receiving, picking and shipping across multiple warehouses. Additionally, the Production Planner will be responsible for all front-line communication between external customer requests and questions. Demonstrated ability to create and maintain a successful partnership to achieve operational goals across multiple warehouses. 
Scheduled Days: Sunday to Thursday  Time: 8 pm to 4 am
Pay Range: $66.560-$72,105
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and monitor all daily work assignments at multiple warehouses.
  • Manage all product allocation for outbound orders to deliver on-time shipping, while properly balancing inventory availability and operational workflow.
  • Produce and deliver analysis based on trends in order to manage the direction of warehouse work effectively.
  • Manage inbound and outbound schedules for multiple warehouses & process and schedule all carrier appointments.
  • Responsible for guiding investigations and resolving product shorts to promote healthy fill rate ratios.
  • Effectively instruct site operations leadership to understand daily site goals and assignment, provide recommendations and oversite.
  • Follow up and correct late orders, product availability and carrier rescheduling.
  • Evaluate demand and determine approach to fill open orders.
  • Direct and implement trailer moves with yard spotter.
  • Provide customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Is the primary point of escalation for internal and external customers.
  • Other duties as assigned. 
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or 2-4 years of appropriate previous work experience in a warehouse
    environment.
  • Skilled in conveying communication and effective in interacting with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Experience with an advanced communication management tool and/or process automation is a plus.
  • Proven ability to analyze data and provide recommendations in order to achieve metric goals.
  • Proven abilities to effectively establish goals.
  • Proven ability to critically think and demonstrate independent decision making.
  • PC Experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Previous warehouse management systems (WMS) experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail oriented, analytical, and good problem solving skills.
  • Ability to take initiative, work and think independently, and collaborate in a team environment.
