Position Overview: 
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for the successful execution of the VAS line assignments and projects. Establishes an effective work team by reviewing goals, and training, and provides ongoing development to the operators.
Shift:   Monday - Friday (2:30 PM - 11:00PM

Position Responsibilities:
 
  • Provides project/line assignments works supervisory station, and backfills for warehouse LMI.
  • Balance workloads between project lines and shift resources as needed.
  • Develop and directs a plan of action for the shift.
  • Reviews overall manpower schedules to assure that the shipping and receiving operations are scheduled in the most efficient and effective fashion.
  • Tours warehouse area on a regular basis to assist in location inventory, answer questions, solve problems, facilitate hot order handling, and locate and eliminate sources of damage.
  • Establishes priorities, makes key decisions on inventory rotation, manpower, and equipment utilization, and corrects paperwork errors.
  • Moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting products, operating material handling equipment (slip-sheet attachments, clamp attachments, pallet jacks, or other power equipment)
  • Perform manual lifting of products to fill orders and verify freight quantities.
  • Maintain company standards for safety, security, and productivity.
Job Qualifications - Required: 
  • Prior lead experience preferred
  • Experienced forklift operator, knowledgeable in all warehouse activities and equipment.
  • Strong experience in order handling and shipping & receiving procedures.
  • Good PC experience.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to delegate and hand out work assignments.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Some college preferred. Prior experience in logistics, warehouse, and transportation,         with manufacturing a plus.
