Position Summary

  • Safety inspection and provide inputs for safety improvements


Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Manage/conduct safety orientation training for all new hires and newly assigned temporary associates
  • Conduct ongoing safety training per OSHA regs (weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, etc)
  • Performs internal/external weekly/monthly audits/inspections/assessments of work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with federal, state and local requirements (e.g. working environments noise, heat, and job hazard assessment, PPE etc.)
  • Recognize/report safety hazards or unsafe work practices and develop Corrective Action Plans
  • Assist in accident management – investigate/analyze of accidents/complaints for trends and prevention measures
  • Coordinate/lead Safety Committee meetings - monthly
  • Assist site management as needed with various related projects/assignments as required



  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Equivalent 2-3 year in Safety and Production experience preferred
  • Ability to lead, provide direction, coach and mentor, solve problems and control variances          
  • Language Skills: Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Ability to write reports
  • Communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software


Working Condition

  • Able to tolerate extreme temperature in freezers
