Responsibilities

  • Develop products sessions from concepts and follow standardized commercialization set-up procedures
  • Leading the projects to achieve the goal based on manager’s directions and business plan timelines
  • Actively suggest the idea for improving current products with regard to both cost and quality
  • Source new ingredients during the product development process and build vendor relationships
  • Prepare bench top prototypes and analyze using a variety of methods available in the R&D test kitchen
  • Monitor current market trends via trade journals and competitor market trips to predict future focus
  • Prepare product specifications, set-up formulas and write technical reports and test run plans
  • Design & perform consumer sensory testing and shelf-life studies for pre-launch products
  • Plan the production trials with production team and conduct it at various production facilities
  • Other duties assigned

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of experience
  • Associate Degree with 8 years of direct experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • R&D experience in the food industry
  • Any form of processed meat such as chilled or frozen fully cooked meat development experience strongly preferred (e.g. grilled chicken/beef meat, battered fried chicken, nugget, ham and so on)
  • Excellent computer skills that include Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Driving a rental automobile as needed; walking, standing or sitting for extended periods of time; ability to lift up to 40 lbs. on an occasional basis; exposure to manufacturing environments that may include loud noise, heat, cold, wet and slippery condition
