The Senior Manager of Software Development is responsible for assisting in providing leadership and inspiration to multiple technology teams. This position manages the overall development of the products that will transform the way citizens and government interact and is responsible for leading the development team to produce high levels of production and quality.

What You’ll Do
As a Sr. Manager, Software Engineering, you will:
- Promote Innovation and Collaboration: Develop and maintain an environment that fosters innovation and collaboration across teams and departments, ensuring high standards in product effectiveness and quality.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with company leaders to develop long-term business plans and drive department strategies that align with company goals.
- Relationship Building: Build relationships with aligned leaders to drive collaboration, trust, and coordination on projects and processes.
- Efficiency and Standardization: Collaborate with technology leaders to champion efforts for reuse, standardization, and efficiency by implementing streamlined processes and procedures.
- Team Development: Lead the recruitment, hiring, and training of staff, focusing on building a strong team skilled in developing high-quality, performant software.
- Architectural Partnership: Partner with teams, architects, and other technical leaders on application architecture, ensuring adherence to enterprise architecture strategies.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentoring for development teams, staying engaged with team metrics and project progress, and understanding high-level architecture and deployment pipelines.
- Technical Roadmap: Work with development teams to develop a technical roadmap for products, collaborating with operational and strategic counterparts to ensure proactive measures for product health and technological advancements.

Preferred Qualifications:
- A strong background in software engineering with a focus on developing high quality, performant software and planning & execution of enterprise-level software projects
- A degree in Computer Science or related field
- 7+ years of experience in software development
- Strong leadership and analytical skills
- Good understanding of software development in an agile environment
- A commitment to continuous personal and team growth through training and personal development.
- Excellent communication skills, transparency, honesty, and a collaborative mindset
- Driven to achieve success and excellence in product development and quality assurance

Compensation and Benefits
- Estimated Salary Grade Range: $145,000 - $225,000
- The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and is based on a 40-hour work week.
