Position Description  
In this dynamic position, you'll play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our cutting-edge software solutions and the diverse needs of local government users. From conducting insightful needs assessments to designing engaging training sessions, you'll craft personalized learning experiences that equip staff with the knowledge and skills to leverage our software's full capabilities. Whether it's guiding individuals through complex functionalities or fostering a collaborative training environment for groups, your expertise will be instrumental in driving software adoption and maximizing its impact within local governments and the people they serve 
  
What We’re Looking For:

  • 1 to 3 years’ experience in delivering software training programs, or equivalent.  
  • Understanding of local government entities and their software needs (preferred).  
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.  
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.   
  • Proficiency in using various productivity and collaboration tools. 
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory and methodologies to deliver engaging and effective training programs tailored to learner needs and preferences.  
  • Familiarity with the fundamentals of software training 
  • Familiarity with local government entities and knowledge of their practices preferred.  
  • Knowledge and ability to use Internet and Internet tools to support training and development.  
  • Ability to handle unexpected situations, troubleshoot technical issues, and adapt training sessions to address individual learner needs.  
  • Strong teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to develop and deliver high-quality training programs.  
  • Commitment to ongoing learning by staying updated on new technologies, software updates, and training best practices. 
  
As a Trainer I, you will:         
Develop and coordinate training sessions using various tools and platforms such as phone, email, and project management software. You will conduct needs assessments to tailor these sessions to both individual and group requirements, providing clear and engaging instruction to users in both settings. Additionally, you will offer constructive feedback to ensure users fully grasp the software functionalities. 
  
Maintain updated knowledge of the software and its ongoing enhancements. You will also develop and contribute to internal team documentation for training procedures and resources. Collaboration is key, as you will assist with team projects, including process improvement and documentation initiatives, and promote additional products or services when relevant and beneficial to users. 
  
Proficiency in using the internet and various tools to support training activities, along with familiarity with software training best practices and methodologies, blending learning. 
  
Compensation and Benefits:     
  • Estimated Salary Range: $47,400 - $65,400 
  • The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and is based on a 40-hour work week.
