Aquatic Leadership Trainer

 

Job Status:  Continuous Part-Time

Pay & Grade: $32.14 to $36.57   Hourly

Hours of Work:Up to 24 Hours per week

Initial location: Cameron Heights Pool

Posting period:October 16, 2025 to October 23, 2025 (at 6:00pm)

 

Overview

Provides training for leadership trainers, LSS – Lifesaving Society (Instructor Trainer)

 

Responsibilities

  • Plans, implements and conducts safe aquatic leadership program and lifeguard program instruction.
  • Ensures compliance with Ontario Health Regulations and all relevant legislation and Policy and Procedures manuals.
  • Ensures that appropriate equipment is in place and operational and that the equipment is stored away after use.
  • Evaluates pass/fail of other trainers.
  • Interactions with internal staff and external customers while performing duties.
  • Evaluates performance and maintains records of performance and attendance.
  • Communicates participants’ performance and progress to participant.
  • Perform tasks necessary to support the program including reports and records.
  • Responds to aquatic emergency situations and uses safety/rescue equipment.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

  • Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard 
  • Lifesaving Society Swim instructors 
  • Lifesaving Society Instructors 
  • Is a Lifesaving Society appointed National trainer  
  • Provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector check at your own expense as a condition of employment.
  • Valid CPR Level “C” and Standard First Aid Certificate.
  • Reliable with a good attitude and employment record.
