Job Status: Continuous Part-Time
Pay & Grade: $32.14 to $36.57 Hourly
Hours of Work:Up to 24 Hours per week
Initial location: Cameron Heights Pool

Overview
Provides training for leadership trainers, LSS – Lifesaving Society (Instructor Trainer)
Responsibilities
- Plans, implements and conducts safe aquatic leadership program and lifeguard program instruction.
- Ensures compliance with Ontario Health Regulations and all relevant legislation and Policy and Procedures manuals.
- Ensures that appropriate equipment is in place and operational and that the equipment is stored away after use.
- Evaluates pass/fail of other trainers.
- Interactions with internal staff and external customers while performing duties.
- Evaluates performance and maintains records of performance and attendance.
- Communicates participants’ performance and progress to participant.
- Perform tasks necessary to support the program including reports and records.
- Responds to aquatic emergency situations and uses safety/rescue equipment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard
- Lifesaving Society Swim instructors
- Lifesaving Society Instructors
- Is a Lifesaving Society appointed National trainer
- Provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector check at your own expense as a condition of employment.
- Valid CPR Level “C” and Standard First Aid Certificate.
- Reliable with a good attitude and employment record.
