Position Overview:

Premier recreation and entertainment facilities in Southern Ontario are currently recruiting for Part-Time Labourers. 


These positions will assist in the day to day activities of our multi-use facilities. We are looking for responsible individuals, with the ability to work a variety of shifts at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium and at our Community Arenas including Sportsworld, Activa, Lions, Grand River, Don McLaren and Civic Square. 



Work with minimum supervision in all phases of the operation of a Multi-Use Facility. Prioritize work and carry out duties as assigned.


Duties include:


  • Building/equipment maintenance, customer service and janitorial duties
  • Ice making and maintenance - Operates equipment (e.g., ice resurfacer (e.g., Zamboni), edger, hand chopper) to maintain ice around boards
  • Other related duties as assigned



  • Must be reliable with a good attitude and employment record
  • Must have a minimum Grade 12 education or meet requirements of General Aptitude testing (GATB)
  • Must be flexible to work varying shifts, WEEKENDS, HOLIDAYS, AND OVERTIME as required
  • Must have demonstrated communication/customer service skills
  • Must have the ability to keep accurate written records
  • Must have the ability to participate as an effective team member 
  • Must be willing to attend mandatory staff training sessions and successfully pass the course requirements
  • Must attend and successfully complete emergency first-aid training
  • Must have a valid MTO "G" class driver's license in good standing
