Position Overview: Reporting to the Manager, Budgets, the Budget Analyst will be the main point of contact for assigned divisions regarding financial matters and will need to develop relationships and understanding of the divisions they support. Main responsibilities include assisting other City divisions in the preparation and monitoring of their operating and capital budgets including variance and forecast reporting.
The successful candidate will use their strong analytical skills to assist divisions in reviewing their budget requests and actual results using Budget and Financial systems as well as Excel and other tools. They will also be customer-focused and use their clear communication skills to help divisions better understand the City’s financial processes.
