Temporary Labourer (Arenas)

Hours of Work:Up to 24 Hours per week

Initial location: Activa Sportsplex

Overview

Premier recreation and entertainment facility in Southern Ontario is currently recruiting for a Temporary Labourer. 

Responsibilities

• Work with minimum supervision in all phases of the operation of a Multi-Use Facility. 
• Prioritize work and carry out duties as assigned.  
• Building/equipment maintenance, customer service and janitorial duties.
• Ice making and maintenance - Operates equipment (e.g., ice resurfacer (e.g., Zamboni), edger, hand chopper) to maintain ice around boards.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum Grade 12 education.
• Valid MTO G class driver's license in good standing.
• Attend and successfully complete CPR Level “C” Emergency First-Aid training certification.
• Flexible to work varying shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
• Demonstrated communication/customer service skills.
• Ability to keep accurate written records.
• Ability to participate as an effective team member. 
• Attend mandatory staff training sessions and successfully pass the course requirements.
• Reliable with a good attitude and employment record.
