About the Team & Business Line:

The Citco Banking division provides banking, depositary and custody services to Citco’s “Alternative” investor client base. The Citco Banking division is globally recognized as the pre-eminent service provider to the hedge fund industry.

The primary purpose of the client support and reconciliations role is to act as a point of contact for clients, both internal and external, to assist with the resolution of client queries, with a special focus on the Bank’s Asian time-zone based clients holding bank accounts within Citco Bank Nederland N.V. (Amsterdam Head Office) and its Branches in Dublin and Luxembourg. The senior analyst must become fully up to speed on all areas of Citco’s business so they understand the correct path for clients queries, while ensuring a quick and efficient turn around to such queries.

The position is also responsible for the reconciliation of all cash and securities positions between external bank and custody accounts and internal records. Specifically identifying all items, which are un-reconciled, while advising the Operations teams of these items, both internal and external, as well as independently investigating with correspondent banks and counterparties directly.

This position will be a busy, demanding and interesting role, which will allow the successful candidate the opportunity to learn many different aspects of Citco and the Banking environment.

Your Role:

• Conducting reconciliation for all bank statement and securities statement activities to internal records for each of the 6 Banks within the division
• Performing initial investigation on un-reconciled items
• Reporting all unsolved un-reconciled items to the relevant Operational teams
• Carrying out intraday checks to ensure all reconciliations processes have been completed within strict deadlines
• Performing FATF investigations for AML compliance
• Assisting management with SOC1 testing and monthly KPI reporting
• Conducting quarterly control activities with various correspondents
• Monitoring and controlling the central group email boxes
• Dealing with all queries as they arise from internal departments and 3rd parties
• Managing and control all open cases
• Assisting to generate and control multiple daily and weekly reports
• Be actively involved in completing user acceptance testing on the output to Corona from current system (Equation) and new system (T24)
• Working closely with the Management on concerns and issues as they arise in daily operations
• Supporting training of the different Cash Reconciliation tasks to new team members
• Any other tasks as they arise

About You:

• University degree in Economics / Finance / Accounting or any finance related field
• You have work experience within finance or accounting fields would be considered as a strong advantage
• IT literate with a level of knowledge of Microsoft Excel / Microsoft Access
• Fluency in English (written and spoken), excellent communication & interpersonal skills are essential
• Working knowledge of SWIFT and banking/reconciliation systems would be an advantage
• Accuracy and attention to details
• Ability to escalate issues effectively to Management
• Ability to multitask and to work to tight deadlines is essential
• Hardworking, trustworthy individual with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail are essential

Salary Range

1300-1600 Euro gross monthly
