As a core member of our Product Support team you will work with dedicated professionals to ensure our clients maintain access to their critical information assets while keeping Citco ahead of industry trends.

Your Role:

As a System Administrator with a focus on Unix, you will help the Operations Center team which provides 24x7x365 Production support for mission critical environments accessed worldwide.

This position is part of the Citco Information Technology team (Operations & Support) and reports to the Operations Center Manager.

  • You will be addressing day-to-day server issues in a fast paced Production environment, which requires quick turnaround.
  • You will provide 1st level support with a focus on Unix, but also responsible for 1st level support of Windows, Backup and Network devices. 
  • You will perform operational activities as per the predetermined work schedules, including multiplatform database backups / restores, remote tape operations, backup monitoring and administration using Netbackup, Backup Exec and eVault technologies.
  • You will agent deployments on all platforms to ensure systems are under monitoring and in asset inventory.
  • You will be involved in regular scheduled patching process for all platforms.
  • You will be Involved in DR tests (Data Centers and Offices).
  • You will be responsible for batch process (monitor and implementing scripts).
  • You will log calls with vendors on behalf of resolving groups as necessary and report accordingly.
  • You will add devices to the cabling database and work with local IT and Datacenter Team.
  • You will promptly respond to telephone calls, voice mails and emails.
  • You will meet SLA deadlines & deliverables.
  • You will accept responsibility and personal accountability.


About You:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
  • 3-4 years of relevant IT experience
  • Experience/Knowledge of Solaris OS
  • Experience/Knowledge of Red Hat Linux
  • Experience/Knowledge of Windows 2008/12 is a plus.
  • Experience/Knowledge of hardware and software configuration
  • Firm understanding of MS Office suite
  • Experience/Knowledge of backup responsibilities (restores, create jobs, troubleshooting)
  • Experience/Knowledge of the backup technologies used within Citco is a plus (Netbackup, Backup Exec,   Evault)
  • Knowledge of batch scheduling is a plus (CA Autosys)
  • IT Scripting knowledge is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of Networks is a plus.
