As a core member of our Investor Relations IT team you will work with dedicated professionals to ensure our clients maintain access to their critical information assets while keeping Citco ahead of industry trends.

Your Role:

  • The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering requirements and supporting testing activities for a strategic proprietary application.
  • The role will include overseeing the work of a team of Business Analysts, along with Quality Assurance Analysts, and ensuring that the day to day tasks are delivered on time.
  • The candidate should have a grasp of the project lifecycle to assist the Project Manager in moving key pieces of work along
  • The candidate should have proven requirements gathering skills, can research and analyse the requirements to determine the specific changes needed both upstream and downstream. 
  • The candidate should also have proven QA skills, and demonstrate expertise in a variety of software QA concepts, practices, and procedures.

  • The candidate will interact closely with the global project team, development and various product teams within Citco
  • Elicit, document, analyse, and manage the requirements of various stakeholders.
  • Translate business requirements to functional/technical requirements using various techniques including the writing of JSON messages, SQL queries, MS Visio charts, and various others.
  • Ensure that requirements documents are accessible at all times to various stakeholders
  • Participate in release planning calls by providing high level estimates for BA and QA work as they apply to application enhancements or new features.
  • Assign work to the BA and QA teams for each release, ensuring that the assignments are given to the right staff members with the appropriate level of challenges for their growth and development
  • Create, document, and execute test cases for Change Requests
  • Execute technical test cases involving database review, XML messages, JSON messages in JMS queues and RESTful API
  • Troubleshoot, identify, and correct errors in the SQL queries used in API Webservices
  • In co-ordination with the UAT and QA teams, assign and assist with regression testing for each release
  • Co-ordinate testing with the UAT and QA teams, ensuring that the testing cycles are in sync with the project cycle.
  • Guide the QA-Automation team to prioritize and automate manual test cases
  • Train, Coach, and provide guidance/support to a team of Business and Quality Assurance Analysts
  • Participate in various continuous improvement initiatives including the testing, designing, migrating of data between applications, and training the project team on new tools such as Xray
  • Provide regular updates to the project team and, where necessary, escalate issues as soon as possible

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or similar discipline together with relevant working experience
  • 3+ years in a Financial Services led company, preferably with knowledge of Fund Accounting and Hedge Funds
  • 3+ years of experience in testing, using QA and project management tools such as HP QC/ALM, Xray, JIRA, etc.
  • Strong background in BA and QA processes, the Software Development Lifecycle and testing methodologies
  • Experience in delivering large enterprise sized projects
  • Self-motivated, innovative, and analytical with strong attention to detail
  • Proactive, strong sense of responsibility, and service minded attitude
  • Organized, accurate and self-motivated
  • Think creatively and propose options/solutions to challenges
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively in a global team environment
  • Knowledge of SQL is preferred
  • Knowledge of GEMS, Postman, SOAP UI, and Swagger UI would be nice
