Citco Fund Services (“CFS”) established a financial reporting ‘center of excellence’ in Malvern, Pennsylvania (30 miles northwest of center city Philadelphia). Citco Fund Services (Malvern), Inc. focuses on the coordination and preparation of annual and periodic financial reporting for funds in accordance with their promulgated accounting principles (i.e. U.S. generally accepted accounting principles and International Financial Reporting Standards).  The financial reporting services are available to clients of Citco Fund Services Companies worldwide. Our specialized financial statement reporting teams are primarily based in our Malvern location with additional team members are based in our Cork and Manila locations. 

 

Position Purpose

Create financial statement documents in compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

 

Main Job Functions/Responsibilities

  • Under limited supervision, create, edit and review documents for the production of financial statements for external distribution utilizing Microsoft 2010
  • Revise documents based on markups (adobe, word, track changes) from multiple sources – accountant, manager, auditor and client
  • Monitor JIRA Board (workflow tool) to identify financial statements ready to be reviewed
  • Effectively manage communication, planning process, workflow, timelines and team members responsible for a client’s fund; Confirm client scope and deliverable dates
  • Develop ways to effective manage inconsistency among members in the network for the client; Quality control and review of consistency sheets for format and language; Utilize formatting features used to standardize tables and paragraph formats according to specification; Compute and verify totals on reports/financial statements
  • Initiate and establish ongoing communication throughout the process to all teams to ensure uniformity and resolve discrepancies.

Main Job Functions/Responsibilities (continued)

  • Provide quality improvement and knowledge gap to working papers provided by FSR to be used by WP; Quality control and review of proformas, financial statements and year-end processes (to include verification of accuracy in spelling, grammar, punctuation and format); Provide quality improvement options to the FR team to be presented to the auditor/client.
  • Appropriately delegate to your team members to ensure the completion of work and that timelines are met; Review and proof team member work product as a measure of improvement and quality control. Provide critical feedback as a measure of improvement.
  • Utilize a Controlled Document Management System (RRD)
  • Provide Subject Matter Expert training, design training materials and review new staff competency; Transfer of Client knowledge to new staff
  • Update training materials
  • Work with management on tool development that improve processes
  • Work under challenging deadlines and be accountable for completing work within specified time frames.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Financial Reporting Accountants to anticipate and accommodate future workflow.
  • Ability to work overtime when necessary.
  • Responsible for all tasks and responsibilities of the Word Processor, as required

 

Education, Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 3+ years experience in financial word processing
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Minimum of 60 wpm
  • Must be detail orientated and posses excellent proofreading skills
  • Understanding of Financial Statement structure is a plus
