About the Team & Business Line:

Fund Administration is Citco’s core business, and our alternative asset and accounting service is one of the industry’s most respected. Our continuous investment in learning and technology solutions means our people are equipped to deliver a seamless client experience.

As a core member of our Real Estate team, you will be working with some of the industry’s most accomplished professionals to deliver award-winning services for complex fund structures that our clients can depend upon.

Your Role:

  • You will review Quarterly/Monthly reports and working papers, which include: the Cash and Position, Reconciliations, expense Accruals, Agree Dividends and Interest Accruals if applicable.
  • You will review all capital activity pertaining to the funds (Capital Call and Distribution processing)
  • You will review Limited Partner and General partners/Shareholder Allocation; calculations/schedules. – includes review of Admin/Management fees/Waterfall/Clawback calculations.
  • You will trial balances and related working papers, financial statements, footnotes and Partner Capital Statements.
  • You will have overall responsibility for client relationships, inquiries and meetings
  • You will interact with Senior Management and clients
  • You will review procedures and recommend solutions in order to improve efficiencies
  • You will ensure adherence to all internal and external audit standards
  • You will coordinate, manage and monitor external audit process
  • You will liaise with clients and assist them on accounting and administrative issues and relevant developments
  • You will provide technical accounting/industry knowledge to clients
  • You will review client partnership agreements, PPM’s and other materials
  • You will be in charge of Implementation of fund structures onto accounting system
  • You will look after the preparation of client service plans including annual budget
  • You will be liaising with property management companies
  • You will review the work of team members and provide feedback for improvement in order to guarantee timely delivery and quality of work
  • You will monitor and track team performance and profitability in order to meet the client service level agreements and achieve financial targets
  • You will plan resources in line with business demands, participate in the recruitment and selection process, lead, coach, develop and appraise employees within the team
  • You will establish plan for new client setup and transitions
  • You will keep Senior Management abreast of all material issues affecting the processing of deliverables
  • You will process ad Hoc reports requests and operations metrics as required by management
  • You will implement training initiatives

About You:

  • You have a Bachelor or Master level degree (in accounting, finance, economics)
  • You have a professional accounting designation required
  • You have 7+ years public/private accounting experience
  • You have 5+ years real estate and/or private equity experience
  • You have knowledge and experience in GAAP and IFRS required
  • You have experience with fair value reporting for real estate investments and debt obligations
  • You have knowledge of Real Estate & Private Equity  Funds Accounting
  • You have strong leadership skills and supervisory experience of other professionals
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • You have knowledge of REIT structures and testing
  • You have experience in Performance Reporting – NCREIF and GIPS(AIMR)
  • You have project management skills with attention to detail and proven ability to multi-task
  • You have knowledge and experience in real estate/private equity accounting systems (Yardi, MRI, Investran, etc.) is preferred
  • You have advanced computer skills (Microsoft Excel)
