About the Role:

The purpose of the Senior Payments Analyst role is to efficiently and accurately process money transfers to meet trading requirements/management fees/loan repayments or general client funding.

The completion of these functions should assist in the controlled and smooth running of the department in order to meet the Service level agreement expected by Citco’s clients.

Job Duties in Brief:

  • Monitoring the repair queue in our core banking system and ensuring payments are processed accurately and within our currency cut off times.
  • Input and approval of manual payments, journals and investigation swift messages.
  • Liaising with our KYC and Compliance departments to ensure payments are AML compliant as per regulation.
  • Identifying open breaks on our nostro/loro accounts and creating cases/investigations as required.
  • Daily ledger reconciliation.
  • Signature card verification and call-back on manual instructions as required.
  • Carry out intra-day checklists to ensure all processes have been completed within strict deadlines.
  • Monitor and control the central group mailboxes and deal with all queries accurately and efficiently.
  • Dealing with late payment requests and various other escalations from the fund administrator.
  • Identify gaps in the processes and document all findings
  • Propose solutions to bridge such process gaps to management as required
  • Aid IT in the relevant development solutions
  • Periodic review of SOPS and Work instructions to ensure they are fit for purpose and updated a sand when required.
  • Carry out testing on all process enhancements to ensure the needs of the business and clients are being met.
  • Responsible for running & circulating EOD Reports
  • Identifying issues/problems and therefore liaise with Account Managers and clients to resolve the matter.
  • Any other tasks as they arise

About You:

  • 2-5 years Payments experience. Swift an advantage
  • Payment approval experience essential.
  • Very good attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • The ability to keep calm and prioritize work under pressure
  • Proven ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Willingness to take ownership / responsibility for work.
  • Candidates must be very numerate
  • Proven multi-tasking capabilities.
  • IT literate with an intermediate level of knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills are essential
  • An adaptable team player with a proactive approach to problem resolution
  • Ability to escalate issues effectively to Supervisors or Management.
