Your Role:
You will be acting as second-line Compliance Officer for Citco Fund Services Guernsey. The role will also include acting as MLRO / MLCO for the firm. You will be positioned within Group Compliance to ensure your independence. You will perform independent compliance monitoring reviews and interact with local management on compliance, risk and regulatory issues. Your deliverables will include the providing regulatory guidance, technical support, training and advice to the business, and monitoring and reviewing the business compliance with applicable regulation and internal policies. You will have a dotted reporting line to the Board of Directors of the firm in Guernsey and a functional reporting line to the Head of Compliance for the CFS EMEA
The Citco Group Compliance function drives for best practice and highest ethical standards, providing technical support to the business functions, identifying and reducing/minimizing operational compliance risk across the business functions and continually developing key processes in line with financial industry and regulatory changes.
This is an excellent opportunity for the right person to use their creativity and expertise to contribute to the developing architecture of the Group Compliance function that will underpin the organization for continued success.
- Provide (strategic) advice to local management on the handling of compliance risks;
- Build and maintain a constructive and professional relationship with the Management Board, other Citco entities, Group Compliance colleagues and other relevant stakeholders (risk management, legal, internal and external audit, etc.);
- Work with senior management to facilitate a robust compliance culture;
- Responsible for designing, managing and overseeing the execution of the regulatory compliance oversight programmes (e.g. monitoring, regulatory reporting, training) in conformity with Group and local standards;
- Identify, assess and manage the compliance risks relating to the activities of Citco Fund Services Guernsey;
- Managing the annual and regulatory compliance risk assessment processes;
- Responsible as MLRO / MLCO for the firm and ensuring that an appropriate AML/CTF regime is in place;
- Monitor applicable regulatory changes and provide effective change management to address such changes;
- Collaborating with Legal, Risk and Internal Audit, as appropriate;
- Develop and enhance reporting to senior management;
- Providing training and or arranging for training to employees regarding Compliance policies, and regulatory changes;
- Escalate and report relevant matters to Head of Compliance for the CFS EMEA;
- Travel as required to fulfill the responsibilities of the role;
- Any other relevant responsibilities that may be assigned by Head of Compliance for the CFS EMEA.
About You:
- University degree in a relevant discipline;
- A minimum of 7 years related work experience in the Guernsey financial sector;
- Strong knowledge of the Guernsey regulatory environment in particular AML/CFT and Fund Administration;
- Strong analytical, research and reporting skills;
- Excellent communication skills (written & oral);
- Compliance monitoring experience will be a plus;
- Pro-active and result driven;
- Developing good working relationships;
- Working on own initiative and as part of a global team;
- A curious and investigative nature and a strong moral compass.
