About the Team & Business Line:

Citco Group provides services to our Citco Group of Companies and helps business to succeed in client service excellence.

In this new role, you will make sure that our European Governance Services offices have proper 2nd line compliance support and oversight. Our larger offices have a dedicated 2nd line Compliance Officer but our smaller offices do not have such support yet. You will touch base with all of these offices on a regular basis and will ensure that local management is aware of regulatory changes. Your efforts will be based on yearly compliance plans which contain deliverables on training and compliance monitoring for all of these offices. You will be positioned within Group Compliance to ensure your independence. You will report directly to the Head of Compliance for the Governance Services division.

Your Role:

  • You will identify, assess and manage the compliance risks relating to the European activities of the Governance Services division;
  • You will provide (strategic) advice to local management on the handling of compliance risks;
  • You will build and maintain a constructive and professional relationship with the Management Board(s), other Citco entities, Group Compliance colleagues and other relevant stakeholders (risk management, legal, internal and external audit, etc.);
  • You will give advice and support to the business on compliance related matters such as AML/CTF, tax integrity, social impropriety, data protection and confidentiality, outsourcing and corporate governance;
  • You will act as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and a such analyze reporting of transaction- and transaction patterns and activities and report to the FIU when appropriate;
  • You will write policies, keeping them up to date with new developments and reviewing on a regular basis;
  • You will be undertaking monitoring reviews (compliance checks and controls) in accordance with annual monitoring plans;
  • You will draft regular compliance reports on the outcome of monitors and regulatory change;
  • You will participate in communication with the regulator(s) and industry body;
  • You will  be providing training and or arranging for training to employees regarding compliance policies, legislation and procedures;
  • You will assist and further develop compliance oversight of outsourcing arrangements;

About You:

  • You are degree qualified with a minimum of 3 to 5 years related work experience in a similar role;
  • You have strong knowledge of the EU legal and regulatory environment in particular AML/CFT. Affinity with topics such as tax integrity, social impropriety, data protection and outsourcing is considered an important plus;
  • You are a curious and investigative individual with a strong moral compass;
  • You are able to express yourself well in English both verbal and in writing. Knowledge of other (European) languages is an advantage but not a pre-requisite;
  • You can handle a lot of freedom on the job and work independently;
  • You are pro-active and result driven, and able to develop good working relationships with others;
  • You must be willing to travel (once the Pandemic is over).
