The Media Relations Strategist role is a highly client-facing role and entails counseling clients on broadcast, distribution, and social media tactics across multiple verticals including consumer, healthcare, lifestyle, non-profit, automotive, sports, multicultural and technology. The ideal candidate would possess knowledge of the Spanish language and media landscape as the Media Strategy Assistant will handle all multicultural projects within the department.

Tasks include but not limited to: representing the Media Relations department on client calls and at meetings; drafting media materials; co-managing the execution of co-op satellite media tours; overseeing pitching efforts; managing and liaising with spokespeople, attending satellite media tours to ensure client messaging is achieved; and working closely with the Media Relations team to develop and execute a wide range of broadcast projects.

Requirements:

  • A creative, outside the box thinker who can manage multiple projects and competing deadlines with ease
  • Flawless media writing skills
  • Must be proactive in follow up to internal and external teams
  • Be an energetic self-starter who is always looking to lend a hand
  • Strong knowledge and interest in social media vehicles
  • Be a dedicated team player within the Media Relations group, as well as the entire company
  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least two to five years working in Public Relations, Communications, or News is required
  • Fluency of the Spanish language preferred, but not necessary
  • Job is based out of the brand new, downtown NYC office – amazing views!
