Characterization System Architect PC-4939

Manufacturing and Quality Engineering Austin, Texas

We are looking for a Characterization System Architect to add to our Product Test team! Working with high performance mixed signal products, you will play a key role establishing product readiness for our products.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop automated lab infrastructure and standards for silicon characterization process
  • Responsible for complete process planning and detailed execution to improve product characterization success
  • Responsible for definition and execution of experiments targeted at supporting and characterizing new products
  • Write and debug test programs for device characterization

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Bachelors or a Masters in Electrical or Computer Engineering with a minimum of 5 to10 years of experience in an application, validation or test engineering role
  • Proven expertise in STS test program development and design
  • Expert level knowledge in NI LabVIEW/TestStand architecture and design
  • Strong ability to design lab characterization environments, including test bench setups and software environment.
  • Ability to understand silicon, board hardware, and software interactions; including interactions that encompass customer usage models
  • Ability to develop a statement of work for experiments, and develop the test solutions to deliver on them
  • Ability to execute test plans against IC-level and system-level specifications
  • Problem solving skills applicable to board level, lab equipment, and software issues
  • Strong fundamental skills in the analysis of board level digital and high-performance analog circuits
  • Strong skills and experience using oscilloscopes, multi-meters, frequency domain signal analyzers, analog test stimulus generation equipment
  • Ability to learn and code routines in LabView, Python, and C#
  • Basic skills in statistical analysis
  • Basic understanding of SQL databases
  • Board design experience for high performance analog and mixed signal circuits

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to program and use NI-RIO Modular instruments
  • Ability to program NI Modular instruments in Python
