We have an opening for a Senior Probe Development Hardware Engineer to become part of a growing global organization with a focus on performance, execution, technology and culture. You will be instrumental in providing, supporting and leading test hardware solutions for engineering and high-volume production use of mixed-signal and amplifier semiconductors with a focus on wafer probing and socket solutions. This role will have a direct impact on engineering development, production and time to market.


  • Resolve and validate mechanical items in production (OSATs) and engineer environment
  • Support handlers, docking plates, sockets, contactors, docking interface, change kit, probe heads and stiffeners for engineering and production environment
  • Help develop next generation probe and final test hardware for production (OSATs) and engineer environment
  • Drive probe and final test hardware / mechanical alignment across OSATs
  • Develop test processes to validate and/or improve test hardware
  • Drive cost saving activities by optimizing hardware performance and longevity

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related), 8+ years of experience in in Hardware Design, Validation, & Optimization
  • Experience in mechanical design for ATE test hardware on tester platform on DMDX,NI, J750, J750HD,Iflex, UltraFlex and UltraFlexPlus
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good communication skills and able to interface/communicate effectively with all levels and suppliers
  • Knowledge of mechanical fabrication methods working with machine shops and probe hardware suppliers

Preferred Skills and Qualification

  • Experience working in high-volume manufacturing for probe and test
  • Experience in vertical probe design and manufacturing
  • Experience working with tier 1 vendors and OSATs
