Customer Quality Engineer 4942
Key Responsibilities
- Be the voice of the customer within Cirrus Logic
- Perform device level failure analysis in a collaborative environment to support customer line returns, customer yield excursions and customer reliability issues
- Carry out electrical fault isolation on mixed signal IC devices to assist in identifying root cause of failure
- Work within cross-functional teams to determine and understand the root cause of product issues
- Decide appropriate failure analysis flows based on the failure mode information
- Write failure analysis reports that summarize the analysis carried out, conclusions drawn and relevance to the issue under investigation
- Provide technical or operational quality issue resolution support to customers
- Ensure customer requirements are reflected in Processes, Procedures & Standards
- Drive quality-related proactive and reactive communication
- Work closely with customer to resolve their key care-abouts
- Manage, schedule and lead quality engagements
- Communicate internally and customer requirements – track and ensure closure of these items
- Work with cross-functional internal teams to ensure robust, closed loop on customer requests/ requirements
- Work closely with internal teams on the 8D problem solving process to prevent reoccurrences
- Manage customer quality issues - timely containment, communication and resolution in customer manufacturing environments

Skills and Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical or Electronics Engineering: Physics, Material Sciences, Computer Science, or related fields of equivalent experience.
Experience:
5+ years total experience in the following:
- Customer facing technical engineering role in (field) application, failure analysis, product/test, customer quality
- Understanding of fault isolation methods (visual inspection, infrared inspection, circuit tracing – CAD layout, reball and device level electrical testing)
- Ability to interpret electrical test data, ATE datalogs & applications test results
- Knowledge of semiconductor device structure, fabrication & assembly processes (die and package level)
- Good understanding of reliability engineering methods, tests and failure modes
- Attention to detail and Safety conscious
You Will Have
- Application knowledge of Smart Codec and Amplifiers: product, test, or systems
- Working knowledge of modern mobile and haptics chipsets including the world-wide top suppliers of these devices
- Hands-on experience with audio precision test equipment such as signal and logic analyzers, other debug tools
- System or device-level troubleshooting and failure analysis experience
- High degree of proven self-initiative and ability to think and act independently
- The ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand needs and translate them into actionable plans, deliverables, and resource requirements
- Outstanding multi-tasking and problem-solving skills are critical
- The ability to work under tight timeframes, prioritize competing activities and aim for results is a must
- Excellent English verbal, written communication skills, and presentation skills
- Familiarity with semiconductor fabrication and packaging technologies, device physics, quality and reliability fundamentals, customer management experience
- Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; specifically PowerPoint and Excel
