Materials Planner KM-6022

Engineering Services Austin, Texas

We are seeking an experienced Materials Planner to join our growing Engineering Services organization in Austin, TX! Our team is responsible for supporting Engineering's new product introductions with Printed Circuit boards and peripheral equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for the evaluation and purchase of required materials for a preliminary bill of materials and inventory. You will work closely with Engineering and team members concerning risk mitigation and challenges while maintaining quarterly contracts for inventory purchases.

Responsibilities

  • Review all bills of materials while in design, work with Engineering and Team for risks identified
  • Manage cost data for components
  • Perform to tight schedules to meet customer commitments for on-time delivery
  • Manage multiple projects in parallel
  • Evaluate and forecast inventory expenses quarterly with Management and Financial analysts
  • Manage approved source list for all products (equivalents and alternatives separately)
  • Monitor inventory levels of replenishment stock items

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Associates in Electronics Engineering Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • This position requires a high-energy, self-directed individual with experience in purchasing components in compliance with an approved source list in support of prototype board assemblies
  • Advanced EXCEL experience
  • Exceptional understanding of demand requirements
  • Excellent multitasking skills
  • Ability to work in dynamic/quick turn environment
  • Strong attention to details and decision making

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years prior experience sourcing electronic components for quick turn requirements
  • Prior experience with Employee Resource Planning system strongly preferred

This position is located in Austin, TX

This is a hybrid position and will follow a 2+ day in-office work schedule, with in-office days based on business needs and team preference. You must be based within commutable distance of the work location listed on the job posting, or willing to relocate prior to beginning employment with Cirrus Logic.
