Manager of Probe Test Hardware DJ-5692

We have an opening for a Manager to lead our Probe Hardware Development team specializing in wafer probing, socket solutions, final test hardware, and probe equipment to become part of a growing global organization with a focus on performance, execution, technology, and culture. You will be instrumental in leading a team that provides, test hardware solutions for NPI and high-volume production use of mixed-signal audio, voice, and haptics semiconductors. This role will have a direct and strategic impact on engineering development, production, and time to market.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a growing team of mechanical engineers developing probe test solutions
  • Manage hardware design cycles with internal teams and external suppliers
  • Develop and execute technology roadmaps for new probing technology
  • Develop training and career growth plans for mechanical engineers
  • Work with engineering managers to align on strategic needs and technologies
  • Communicate high-level successes, challenges, methodologies, and direction
  • Ensure the team has the tools and processes to be successful
  • Identify growing needs of the team and create staffing plans as needed

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related), 7+ years of experience in the semiconductor test arena.
  • Strong knowledge of NI, J750, J750HD, UltraFlex, and UltraFlexPlus testers
  • Thorough, strategic foresight, ambitious, hardworking, hands-on, with the ability to operate independently
  • Able to prioritize efforts during periods of compressed schedules and high workload
  • Flexibility to work with a multi-functional team across multiple geographic locations and time zones
  • Experience leading and managing teams
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to summarize, speak clearly and concisely, strong technical writing abilities
  • Knowledge of mechanical fabrication methods working with machine shops and probe hardware suppliers. Existing relationships with probe suppliers

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience working in R&D, reliability, and high-volume sustaining test
  • Skilled with 2D/3D CAD tools such as SOLIDWORKS and/or AutoCad
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis modeling of products and systems
  • Experience using management tools such as MS Project and Excel
  • Knowledge of common semiconductor areas such as JEDEC quals, wafer fab, PCB fab

This position is located in Austin, TX

This is a hybrid remote position and will follow a 2+ day in-office work schedule, with in-office days based on business needs and team preference. You must be based within commutable distance of the work location listed on the job posting, or willing to relocate prior to beginning employment with Cirrus Logic.
