Digital Design Engineer EK-6021

As a Senior Digital Design Engineer, you will work with some of the most innovative talent in the world to tackle the industry’s toughest problems, providing our customers with significant advantages in performance, energy savings, connectivity, and design simplicity and creating solutions for customers in diverse audio markets.

 Responsibilities

  • You will work within a collaborative team environment to engineer and build digital design subsystems from feasibility through to tape-out
  • You will model control loop feedback and signal processing algorithms using tools such as Matlab and Simulink
  • You will contribute to the conversion of subsystems into real-world final designs for integration into final product
  • Support tape-out and post-silicon activities including validation, characterization, and production test
  • You will participate in the design and development of a variety of digital and DSP IP blocks that form the core of our high performance mixed-signal audio processing IC's
  • Provide mentoring of junior engineers and helping to lead small design teams while owning blocks within the design

 Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Requires a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of technical expertise in digital system design
  • Experience in writing Verilog RTL language
  • Proficient knowledge of digital design flow from architecture, RTL design, verification and synthesis
  • Utilize your understanding of control theory and discrete time, z-domain, signal processing techniques
  • Familiarity with FIR and IIR filter design

 Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of high level modeling tools like Simulink, Matlab, or similar
  • You will bring experience designing and verifying complex state-machines that are incorporated into our mixed signal designs
  • Expertise in mixed-signal design, simulation, and verification
  • Experience with back-end flow including synthesis, place and route, and timing analysis
  • Experience generating functional test vectors for PTE
  • A basic understanding of CMOS transistors is a plus
  • Strong lab and silicon validation skills
  • Audio experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
This is a hybrid remote position and will follow a 2+ day in-office work schedule, with in-office days based on business needs and team preference. You must be based within commutable distance of the work location listed on the job posting or willing to relocate before beginning employment with Cirrus Logic.
