Design Verification Software Developer FC-5852

Hardware Engineering Austin, Texas

In this position, you will be a major contributor to a small, focused team delivering software and web applications for design verification and front-end hardware design teams. You will work closely with multi-functional teams including design, design services, software, and systems teams to deliver robust, scalable, and reliable software web apps to meet critical design objectives, as well as support the verification team on active projects.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate creativity to drive innovative software solutions used by front-end design and verification teams
  • Collaborate with team members, testers, and customers to architect, develop, test, and deploy product features
  • Support active projects in their verification efforts (both web apps and UNIX command line applications)
  • Follow an agile software development flow
  • Chip in to documentation and software adoption
  • Implement coding and testing standards as set by team lead and management
  • Work with third party software frameworks and flows
  • Model core Cirrus values such as Continuous Improvement

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Architecture, or Computer Science
  • Experience with MVC and OOP design patterns
  • Experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Agile, lean, or similar development methodologies/experience
  • Experience with at least one web framework (like Python/Django, Ruby on Rails, Java Tapestry)
  • Solid understanding of relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a small team with minimal direction
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with digital design, verification, and flows
  • Experience developing web applications
  • Experience with test driven development flows
  • Experience with UNIX

This position is located in Austin, TX

This is a hybrid remote position and will follow a 2+ day in-office work schedule, with in-office days based on business needs and team preference. You must be based within commutable distance of the work location listed on the job posting, or willing to relocate prior to beginning employment with Cirrus Logic.
