Job Summary

As a Maintenance Technician Level I, you will be responsible for proper safety, equipment maintenance and organization. Safety is our number one priority. Following all OSHA regulations is extremely important for our employee’s safety. This means all equipment needs to be in good working condition and not endangering anyone on the production floor. Making sure everyone is always following good housekeeping habits to ensure safety. The type of equipment at each facility varies from grand format printers to computer-controlled machines, pneumatic machines, software, electronics, and hand tools. You will perform all necessary preventive and routine maintenance at your facility. Using maintenance logs and work requests to track all maintenance work. Having previous maintenance experience is a plus. Keeping track of parts inventory and tools is essential so having strong organization skills will help. Communication skills are key in this position since you will be explaining to operators the do’s and don’ts for each machine, being able to speak clearly is important. Also, you will work with other technicians from 3rd party companies especially when trying to figure out a problem that you have not dealt with before therefore having good communication skills will make this easier. Aside from maintenance you will be an advocate for Lean/Six-Sigma methodology to help production stay efficient. Making sure every tool is in its place and working order to reduce equipment downtime. You will be reporting to the plant manager and equipment maintenance manager, but you will also interact with supervisors and department leads when analyzing a repair or establishing a maintenance routine.

Duties and Responsibilities

·      Coordinate all maintenance work to properly maintain the facility.

·      Performs routine inspections of all systems and equipment.

·      Keeping track of supply and material inventories.

·      Updating maintenance logs for all machinery.

·      Assessing procedures and making recommendations for improvement.

·      Ensuring basic tools and machinery are in working order by performing regular inspections.

·      Perform routine repair work and other work of a general maintenance nature.

·      Ensures that all Sensaria policies and procedures are followed related to the performance of the maintenance function.

·      Enforce preventative measures.

·      Establishes and communicates the level of quality and safety expected in the performance of maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

·      Basic understanding of computer, electrical, pneumatic, and other systems.

·      Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician or equivalent.

·      Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds.

·      Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods.

·      Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including pneumatic, computer controlled, and small hand tools.

·      Working knowledge of tools, common machines, and devices.

·      Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
