Position Summary
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for a wide variety of accounting responsibilities, primarily overseeing our equity and tax workflows. The position requires that the candidate be a hands-on professional with a strong understanding of the application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting. We are looking for someone with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the desire and ability to maintain strong SOX-compliant processes to join our team. This position reports to the Controller.  
 
Responsibilities
  • Primarily responsible for the accounting of the Company’s equity incentive plans (including options and RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan (or ESPP), and all associated reporting.
  • Responsible for other month-end close processes, including preparing and posting journal entries and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations, in an accurate and timely manner (for equity and certain tax accounts)
  • Assist the SEC Reporting Associate Director in preparing SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.)
  • Perform detailed review of the annual tax provision and tax return.
  • Adhere to and comply with internal control procedures and maintain related documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Company accounting and internal control policies as well as GAAP.
  • Manage Company’s internal controls program 
  • Correspond with external auditors regarding quarterly review and annual audit procedures.
  • Manage external tax preparers regarding quarterly provision and annual compliance procedures.
Minimum Qualifications      
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field
  • At least 5-7 years’ experience in accounting
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • A high attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, managing multiple priorities to meet deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
Preferred Qualifications      
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Public accounting experience
  • Experience working in a Sarbanes-Oxley compliant control environment
  • Experience preparing or reviewing SEC-compliant financial statements
  • Exposure to income tax provision or certain elements within.
  • NetSuite experience preferred
Location

Fully Remote

 

Base Salary Range: $115,000 - $150,000

The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the years of relevant industry experience, education, and skills/abilities.
