Location(s): Portland, OR (on-site) | VA Portland Health Care System

Position Details:
- Full benefit program, including: health, PTO, and 401k + contribution
- Rotating weekends and Holiday shifts may be required, and hour will vary.
- Overtime, On-Call, and Call Back duty for this position may be required on occasion and in emergent situations.
- Minimum assignment: 2 days (16 hours) with potential for longer assignments based on VA needs
- Shifts may be 8, 9, or 10 hours, with typical schedules including:
- 8-hour shifts, five days per week
- 9-hour shifts, rotating four- or five-day weeks
- 10-hour shifts, typically four-day weeks

Requirements:
- Certified as Diagnostic Radiologic Technologists by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Two (2) years' experience in the operation of diagnostic radiology equipment
Summary:
CICONIX is seeking three (3) MRI Technologist's with experience in the operation of diagnostic radiology equipment to produce radiographic studies/images used in medical diagnosis and treatment to support the VA Portland Health Care System in Portland, OR.

About the Role:
- Operate Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment to produce images as requested by the MRI Radiologists.
- Recognize and exhibit good safety practices; comply with published and communicated safety procedures; immediately report any observed safety infractions or unsafe working conditions.
- Verify patient information; explain the procedure to be performed per the request; ensure patient safety throughout procedure; and maintain accurate patient records and document imaging procedures in the VA system.
- Set up and adjust accessory equipment as required.
- Make exposures necessary for the required procedures.
- Take films/images to daylight processor for processing.
- Edit film/images for quality of images and input data into the system.
- Check equipment for working conditions; notify the physician and/or technical supervisor of any equipment problems.
- Set up x-ray room to ensure all equipment is available.
- Follow all VA policies, including infection control, radiation safety, and patient privacy.

Qualifications:
- Education:
- Successful completion of an accredited educational training program in which technologists are certified as Diagnostic Radiologic Technologists by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and must be certified for their specialty.
- Licensure & Certifications (Current & Unrestricted):
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Experience:
- Two years' experience in the operation of diagnostic radiology equipment under the direction of a Radiologist or other medical officer to produce radiographic studies/images used in medical diagnosis and treatment.
- Must have worked within a hospital lab setting as an MRI Tech in the last six months.
- Provide evidence of current professional liability insurance.
- Be available to work for the VA at least six (6) months after starting date.
- Security & Background Check:
- U.S. Citizenship and a successful background investigation are required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
- Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to comply with the government vaccination requirements, reflected of CDC guidelines, for diseases including Hepatitis B, influenza, and proof of a negative PPD test.
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift supplies or materials (15-100 pounds) as required.
- Manual dexterity for handling equipment and performing imaging procedures.
