Location: Misawa, Japan (on-site)
 
Position offers:
  • Full-time/long-term position
  • Regular weekly hours (0700-1600)

    Requirements:
    • LCSW (any state)
    • Master's Degree in Social Work from CSWE accredited school
    • 2+ years counseling experience post-Masters
     
    Opportunity Summary: 
    CICONIX is seeking Licensed Clinical Social Workers to join the Air Force Family Advocacy Program at Misawa AB in Misawa, Japan. The Family Advocacy Treatment Manager (FATM) will play a crucial role in addressing family maltreatment through education, awareness, and treatment.
     
    Responsibilities:
    • Assess military families for suspected maltreatment and provide treatment to individuals, families, and groups.
    • Work with the New Parent Support Program to provide voluntary, home-based prevention services.
    • Provide voluntary prevention counseling to at-risk individuals, families, or groups.
    • Act as the primary treatment provider for assigned maltreatment cases, coordinating services and monitoring client progress.
    • Conduct psychosocial assessments and assist with safety planning.
    • Coordinate with prevention staff regarding referrals to educational services.
    • Promote community initiatives to reduce maltreatment risk factors and foster community resiliency.
    Other Duties Include:
    • Implement community organization and social marketing strategies to prevent family maltreatment.
    • Collaborate with key organizations to increase awareness and provide prevention training.
    Qualifications:
    • U.S. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master's degree from a CSWE accredited school.
    • Two years of full-time post-master’s degree experience in clinical counseling, including group therapy facilitation.
    • Experience working with children, families, and community support agencies.
