Summary:
CICONIX is seeking four (4) Logistics Specialist's with three (3) years of experience to support the Special Warfare Training Wing (SWTW), Human Performance (HP) and Support Services (SS) for the U.S. Department of Defense, Air Education and Training Command (AETC). The Logistics Specialist is responsible for analyzing and assisting in the coordination of the logistical functions of the SWTW Training pipeline and for assisting in the entire life cycle of a product, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, and final disposal of resources.

About the Role:
  • Conduct extensive searches for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual supply transactions and patterns. Retrieve data and respond to a variety of customers, program review, and vendor inquiries. Ensure consistency and appropriate cross-referencing for both newly and previously entered data. Perform research to identify patterns in transaction errors and failures. Research databases and publications to extract data. Resolve issues surfaced by customers and provide findings to the appropriate analyst. Input screening requests to obtain logistics data on existing national stock numbers. Consolidate input from various sources for batch input. Analyze interrelationships of data across databases to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Provide supply support for production, overhaul, repair, or other operations for equipment and/or parts requiring special handling. Respond to specific case requests that require additional identification data, item verification, or deviation from standard
    procurement/acquisition procedures. Review requisitions, documents, and references to determine priority status. Expedite delivery of critical items and coordinate with manufacturers, control points, and transportation offices. Establish new procedures when needed for specialized or urgent requirements. Write internal procedures and guide others to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Determine stock levels needed for non-recurring, specialized items based on usage, inventory, project demands, seasonal demands, and projected depletion. Conduct exhaustive research of catalog databases to find effective alternatives. Complete requisition documentation (e.g., GPC, FMQ, MIPR). Identify and resolve discrepancies, including those for urgent, critical shortages or items requiring unique procedures. When guidelines don’t exist, research manuals, regulations, and directives to support new/revised policy development.
  • Prepare recurring and special reports. Compile statistics and conduct in-depth analysis on data related to logistics and supply transactions. Enter data into multiple databases. Assemble information from various formats and extract data from files and records. Analyze trends for senior leaders and prepare comparative reports. Respond to audits and inspections (e.g., Inspector General) and brief performance or supply readiness as required.
  • Use multiple office automation software systems to perform varied functions including formatting reports, editing tables, tracking project status, and resolving software incompatibility issues. Develop automation methods and solve problems in data processing. Use software tools to enter, revise, calculate, and print memos, letters, and reports. Transmit and receive data electronically from networked systems.
  • Distribute, handle, and maintain inventories for training (e.g., medical gear, training equipment, gym gear, student gear, issue).
  • Ensure students receive required gear/equipment.
  • Maintain inventory levels for all students in coordination with leadership.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and evaluating logistical actions.
  • Recommend and manage inventory levels and material needs to align with program plans.
  • Assist in resource allocation, including programming, management, and execution of resources.
  • Notify leadership of potential facility issues or equipment enhancements.
  • Operate government vehicles for student and personnel transportation.
  • Operate forklifts and hand truck equipment.
  • Manage inventory issues, including issuing necessary training gear, organizing inventory, and requesting purchases.
  • Provide general office support, including handling data calls, answering phone calls, drafting memos, and requesting office materials.
  • Perform clerical and administrative tasks for daily coordination.
  • Maintain and update various student and course databases.
  • Track student attendance, missed events, and actions, ensuring staff is informed of changes.
  • Compile data for special and periodic reports.
  • Proofread and review work for accuracy and completeness.

Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 
    • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in performing tasks similar to those described above.
  • Security & Background Check: 
    • U.S. Citizenship and a successful background investigation are required.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance. 
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Willingness to comply with the government vaccination requirements.
    • Knowledge of governing supply regulations, procedures, and instructions, including supply functions, operations, program requirements, and work methods.
    • Knowledge of data entry and processing of supply transactions in an automated supply system, correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and formatting to accurately prepare and edit written correspondence and reports.
    • Proficient in various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques used to support office operations and to produce a variety of documents such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs.
    • Skills in typing are required, and the individual must be a qualified typist.
    • Possess the ability to read, interpret, and apply applicable reference material, such as supply regulations, manuals, catalogs, records, orders, and other guidance, to accomplish tasks and resolve complex supply problems.
    • Ability to apply basic analytical methods and techniques to resolve issues and/or deviate from standard supply management procedures is required.
    • Capable of receiving, screening, reviewing, and verifying supply documents and resolving discrepancies.
    • Ability to communicate effectively.
    • Ability to support specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts, such as special purpose laboratory or test equipment, prototypes of technical equipment requiring unusual degrees of protection in shipment and storage, and other items seldom handled.
    • Ability to conduct extensive and exhaustive searches for information and to reconstruct records for complex supply transactions.
    • Possess or have the ability to obtain a valid driver’s license and forklift operator certification, as required to perform assigned duties..
