Role Summary:

Working from your home office, Chubb Fire and Security is currently recruiting for an Account Manager for the St John’s Newfoundland area. In this position, you will be responsible for acquiring and maintaining security solutions and preventative maintenance agreements within the Newfoundland region. You are a self-motivated, high-profile, business-to-business sales professional who has a strong business acumen, sales skills and a technical aptitude. You have the ability to work strategically and tactically to promote Chubb’s solutions with a focus on growing new and existing business to drive sales to optimize profit.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Focus on Sales within Newfoundland including hunting for new customers and farming existing clients.
  • Quote systems for customers with technical accuracy and within Chubb Fire and Security pricing guidelines.
  • Stay current in knowledge of security product and Fire Preventative Maintenance contracts (including competitor technology), legislation, and regulations.
  • Travel to and visit premises, completes surveys, determines customer objectives and requirements.
  • Design systems through security consultation that will best meet the needs of the customer and each site.
  • Obtains new business and expands current revenue streams by finding and developing new accounts, following up on company-generated leads, and providing excellent service to the existing customer base.
  • Prepares quotes for new/prospective and existing customers.
  • Creates and maintains client rapport by understanding current and future needs and responding promptly.

Educational/Technical Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education (or equivalent experience) in Electronics, Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing or Sales is considered an asset.
  • Proven sales experience in B2B services with strong prospecting skills including telephone and in-person cold calling.
  • 5+ years sales experience in the Security & Life Safety industry (preferred).
  • Technical industry knowledge in security systems or ability learn the products and industry jargon quickly.
  • Strong knowledge of PC based applications (Microsoft Office Suite etc.).

Other Requirements:

  • Strong Communication skills – verbal, written, in person/video presentations with an ability to convey a message in an organized, clear and effective manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (telephone and interpersonal) and effective at creating and nurturing relationships.
  • Organized and able to work under pressure.
  • Proven analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Goes beyond job requirements to seek opportunities and generate ideas for improvements.
  • Optimistic with high enthusiasm, creativity and a can-do attitude.
  • Must have a valid provincial drivers license.
