Role Summary:
 

Our Mississauga office is currently recruiting a Sales Analyst for 1 year contract who will work with Sales Management, Sales Operations, and Finance in order to ensure that the sales commission plans are implemented correctly, and commissions are paid accurately. They will be responsible for the calculation of monthly incentive commissions for all sales employees focusing on accuracy, completeness and consistency as defined in the commission plan. The position will also require researching and reporting on all variances to budget estimate and prior month. The position will report to the Director of Sales.


Key Job Responsibilities:
 

  • Assimilate, analyze and maintain records of sales and commission data through various sources.
  • Prepare monthly sales results by sales person, manager, team and region. Ensure integrity of sales results by reviewing for unusual variances to prior month, target and estimate.
  • Calculate commission payments for sales staff and liaise with sales management and payroll to ensure accurate calculations and payments.
  • Prepare management reporting on individual and team sales attainment, year-to-date commission payments versus target. Investigate unusual items as necessary.
  • Accrue commission expense and estimated bonuses.
  • Reconcile deferred commission accounts.
  • Participate in annual compensation planning. Recommend best practices for rewarding desired sales behaviors.
  • Manage annual sales expense budgeting process and monthly estimate processes. Track and reconcile headcount and payroll expense.
  • Reviews sales reports for accuracy and completeness. Initiates all necessary steps in ensuring that the corrections are minimized and completed before being processed.
  • Assists Sales employees/managers nationally with the comprehension of commission statements and interprets the monthly results when requested.
  • Administer the payout for Loop leads.
  • Assist with special Sales Projects as required.
  • Accountable for acting in a safe and responsible manner. Follows company health and safety policies and procedures.


Qualifications:
 

  • Must have a post-secondary degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
  • CGA designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a staff accounting or financial analyst role.
  • Advanced proficiency in working, utilizing and managing MS Excel templates.
  • Previous CRM experience is an asset.
  • Experience with Sales Compensation preferred.
  • Fluency in French (reading, writing, communication) is an asset.


More about the position:
 

  • Knowledge of Financial Accounting principles and procedures.
  • Knowledge or experience with commission payment processing.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (comfortable editing formulas, functions, data mining and manipulating spreadsheets)
  • Able and comfortable working in a demanding and fast-paced work environment, with specific period end deadlines, requiring minimal supervision.
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented and enjoys working in a collaborative environment.
  • Able to organize and summarize large volumes of detailed information.
  • Excellent communication, decision-making and analytical skills.
