Role Summary:
Chubb’s Saskatchewan branch is recruiting for a Security Technician to perform high-quality installations, renovations and programming for our current customers and provide superior customer service. Candidates for this role can be based out of any major city in Saskatchewan.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, install, and program systems (alarm, access control and CCTV) as per the customer’s specifications
- Communicate with customers to identify the source of the problem of their alarm system.
- Independently perform high-quality service, and proper maintenance and make recommendations for improvement to the system if needed.
- Perform Verification duties as assigned by the Security Coordinators
- Coordinate with Sales Representatives and Security Coordinators
- Work to meet all installation and service call deadlines
- Able to read and interpret blueprints and scope documents
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 50ft
- Flexibility to work different shifts as required, including overtime
- Overnight travel is a requirement of the role
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in electronics and/or networking will be valued
- Must have a Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with hand and power tools
- Computer and network knowledge in order to set up systems
- Basic understanding of electrical code and requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
- A valid Canadian provincial driver’s license with a clean record
- Knowledge of Access Control, Alarms and CCTV systems will be valued
- Working knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
