We have an exciting opportunity for an Adaptive Equipment Technician to join our team at ChildServe! This role will be responsible for the assembly, maintenance, repair, and/or delivery of durable medical equipment, which includes minor fitting and adjustments of equipment under the supervision of the ATP and/or therapist.

Schedule

• Full-Time, 40 hours/week
• Monday – Friday flexible hours

What You’ll Do  

• Assist with inventory management, materials acquisition and tracking of orthotic casts and equipment shipments.
• Inspect, assemble, test, diagnose, and repair DME according to manufacturer and company standards.
• Deliver and pick up equipment, ensuring accurate documentation and proper signatures.
• Maintain a clean, safe workshop and delivery vehicle, completing required logs and checklists.
• Provide professional, reliable customer service and communicate feedback or concerns appropriately.

What You’ll Need  

• High School Diploma or Equivalent. 
• Technical Training in the field of adaptive equipment or willing to complete within 1 year. 
• Child Passenger Safety Technician Certification or willing to complete within 1 year when need is determined. 
• Valid driver’s license, a personal vehicle, proof of automobile insurance. 
• Ability to work independently with basic verbal and written instructional guidance from others. 
• Maintain positive working relationships and demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for, a diverse population. 
• Lift and carry up to 50lbs, be mobile within the clinic areas, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand. 
• Be able to perform tasks that include grasping, turning, and fine manipulation of tools. 
• Must be able to demonstrate safe use of hand and power tools.
