Description

Chief Ethanol is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This position will manage continuous improvement projects of various sizes while assisting with daily operations as needed.
Job Responsibilities: 
  • Manage multiple capital and continuous improvement projects simultaneously.
  • Coordinate projects with Production, Maintenance, Safety, Environmental, Commodities and other areas to ensure a successful outcome.
  • Work with and supervise external contractors.
  • Provide scheduling for projects to reduce interference with overall plant operation.
  • Assist with production and maintenance issues as needed including troubleshooting problems.
  • Define and update preventative maintenance program for all equipment
  • Define and update mechanical integrity program and associated inspection and testing procedures for all equipment
  • Maintain and update in-plant P & ID documentation and plant drawings.
  • Develop plant optimization projects to reduce downtime, increase productivity, etc.
Qualifications and Skill Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related degree. 
  • Degree from ABET accredited institution or equivalent 
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Mechanical Engineering and/or Project Management
