Chief Agri is seeking a Production Supervisor to join the Chief team. This position will be responsible for leading a diverse and talented manufacturing team. Their primary goals will include promoting a culture of continuous improvement, properly utilizing personnel to assure efficient workflow, and meeting customer commitments. They will also be responsible for directing, disciplining, training, developing, coaching, process improvements, record keeping, planning, and assisting the team in a manufacturing setting.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, train, and motivate team members to achieve desired safety, efficiency, proficiency, cooperation, and morale; maintain awareness of plant and/or engineering policies and procedures ensuring employee adherence; may recommend and/or implement new plant policies and procedures. Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with and motivate a diverse group of employees.
• Will analyze potential production problems (delays, material shortages, equipment repairs, etc.), devices, and implement procedures to minimize lost production due to these occurrences.
• Reviews operations schedules, coordinates production/testing activities, and manages team member assignments.
• Uses data to estimate work-hour requirements and productivity for continuous improvement projects. Recommends and initiates projects; sees those projects through to completion with measurable improvements within anticipated time frame.
• Manages departmental costs and provides corrective action plans to improve spending control.
• Inspects materials and finished product for quality compliance as required. Has indept ability to read, interpret, and explain blueprints, engineering drawings, shop orders, and production specifications related to the department.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Applicable manufacturing training or equivalent work experience required.
• Previous leadership and/or management experience preferred.
• Computer skills and familiarity with office productivity software and business control software such as IFS strongly preferred.
