Chief Ethanol Fuels is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join the Chief team. This position is responsible for overseeing all accounts receivable duties including managing customer credit risk, processing and maintaining customer sales orders, creating daily invoices, and reconciling daily grain settlements for payment. Additionally, the Accounting Clerk will prepare weekly and monthly accounting reports, set up new customers and keep up to date credit files on all customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain customer sales orders and generate daily invoices.
  • Invoice feed sales on a daily basis.
  • Reconcile daily grain settlements for payment.
  • Collect credit information to set up new customers.
  • Work with Corporate accounting to maintain current customer credit files.
  • Assist with ethanol railcar billing release.
  • Monitors accounts receivable aging report for past due accounts and follows up with customer on late accounts.
  • Prepare any miscellaneous invoices.
  • Provide support for the annual RIN audit.
  • General office management duties including ordering and managing office supplies and equipment, company functions and holiday events, and document filing and indexing.
  • Performs as a backup when logistics analyst is out of the office.
  • Support accounting department and Ethanol division by performing other projects as needed.

Education:

  • High School Diploma, or GED, required.
  • Associate’s level or higher degree in accounting or business, preferred.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of related accounting experience
  • Requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and advanced proficiency in Excel, as well as practical experience with other Microsoft Office applications.
