Chevo is hiring an experienced Senior Administrative Specialist to support our federal client in budgeting services and financial management. This position will provide the opportunity for significant client interaction by learning the client’s business and become a trusted advisor. The ideal candidate will demonstrate versatility in understanding and performing work related to Federal budgeting, and administrative operations. This will be a hybrid environment, with client location in Washington DC. 
 Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Provide senior government executives analysis and administrative support as needed.
  • Assist in budget analytical support (e.g., spend plan analysis) as needed.
  • Provide program and administrative support—initiating schedules; Risk Register Management; SharePoint Support; and associated Administrative Support.
  • Assist and support the Government’s senior leadership with budget analysis, risk management, analytical support, outreach, and stakeholder management.
  • Develop or support senior leaders in a fast-paced budgeting environment with short timelines and /or shifting priorities.
  • Review materials for clarity, punctuation, grammar, and content.
  • Review formatting, design and terminology to make sure all documents and communication prior to submission outside of a Chief Financial Office (CFO) unit is concise.
  • Organize, prepare, and maintain documents in an accessible Government location. 
  • Develop high-level presentations using PowerPoint, and understanding basic visualization applications (e.g., Tableau) as needed. 
  • Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced, challenging environment. 
Required Qualifications:  
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, financial management, economics or related fields.
  • Five to Ten plus (5-10+) years’ experience supporting multi-million-dollar budgetary projects in a fast-paced environment and supporting senior executive leadership or similar.
  • Five (5) years of experience producing and managing executive level briefings.
  • Five (5) years of experience working within statutory and regulatory fiscal law environment.
  • Demonstrate strong written and oral communications are needed, as well as subject matter expertise in Federal Financial/Budget Management and Congressional Reporting.
  • Five (5) years developing and / or managing multiple projects or activities that provide support to senior level leaders or teams.
  • Experience conducting studies, analyzing findings and making recommendations on substantive operating programs that required applying a knowledge of qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques along with a knowledge of the mission, organization, and work processes of the programs.
  • Experience performing a wide variety of analytical studies and projects related to management improvement, productivity improvement, management controls, and long-range planning including developing guidance on techniques for management and methods improvement.
  • Experience analyzing and advising on proposed reorganizations or realignment of functions and developing manuals and directives covering varying aspects of operations.
  • Strong familiarity with budgeting / financial lexicon in the federal Government, the federal budget calendar and is familiar with CFO operations. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Desired Qualifications  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, and Power Point.
  • Experience operating in a complex Chief Financial Officer/Budget Director organization or in a similar financial / budgeting organization performing multiple activities. 
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive research and analysis.
  • Ability to develop point papers, briefing materials, and to make oral presentation of these materials to all levels of management, if necessary
  • Ability to review, synthesize and prepare highly technical, sensitive, and complex documents, briefing materials, management directives and correspondence.
  • Experience managing calendars and / or schedules.
