Chevo is currently hiring an experienced CPIC Lead/Data Governance consultant, to join our expanding Portfolio Management practice. This position is primarily located on-site with our client in the Washington, DC Metro Area.  The ideal candidate will demonstrate versatility in understanding and performing work related to program/project management, portfolio management, capital planning and investment control (CPIC), program governance, and system development life cycle management activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Provide support for the NSF Chief Information Officer, the Capital Planning and

·        Investment Control (CPIC) program, support all aspects of NSF IT Governance, and provide strategic

·        direction for NSF IT planning initiatives and IT Governance.

·        Research the technical and management aspects of potential IT strategic initiatives to assist DIS

·        management and technical staff in the evaluation of proposed policy changes.

·        Work with NSF staff to gain an understanding of their IT investment requests, refine their

·        requests, and document their business requirements.

·        Support alternatives analyses and cost estimating for IT solutions that satisfy the requirements

·        of IT investment requests.

·        Support development and tracking of IT investment artifacts and develop plans for reporting the

·        status of IT investments to stakeholders within and outside NSF.

·        Work with the CIO and CIO support staff to develop IT policies and process to support the

·        maturation of existing IT governance processes.

·        Conduct a program of continuous process improvement of the CPIC process and implement

·        improvements and refinements.

·        Develop white papers, reports, memos, information papers, decision papers, process flows,

·        guides, etc. as needed to support continual operations and proposed enhancements to the NSF

·        IT governance and CPIC efforts.

 

Required Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s Degree

·        10+ years total experience

·        Knowledge of the DHS Department level CPIC process

·        Experience in managing investments from a portfolio perspective

·        Ability to pass client security clearance requirements

·        Desired Qualifications: 

·        Strong consulting (4+ years consulting experience), writing, and client handling skills

·        Prior experience in a Federal Government Consulting role

·        Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to present a polished, professional, and diplomatic image to clients

·        Strong analytical skills – assertive and inquisitive manner that allows the individual to take indirectly related and orally communicated information and transform it into actionable information

·        Experience at DHS Headquarters or Component
