Live Chat Agent

The Position 

Working with the Admissions Manager, the live chat agent will communicate with customers through live chat to answer questions about Thinkful programs, financing, and the admissions process. Since they function on the front line of Thinkful sales, it’s important that chat agents be comfortable communicating directly with customers. Chat agents can work remotely and are generally required to have sales and customer service experience. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for attaining set daily, weekly, and monthly Admissions targets 
  • Respond to live chats in a timely manner 
  • Interview and determine need of prospective students and guide through the enrollment process 
  • Responsible for having in-depth knowledge of all Thinkful programs 
  • Responsible for delivering clear and concise information about financing options to prospective students 
  • Other duties as assigned 

 

Outcomes 

  • Hit target Interview to Enroll conversion rates as defined in exec dashboard 
  • Successful daily management of assigned leads/chat sessions 
  • Successful follow up on all chat leads  

Requirements 

  • 2+ years of working experience in a high level sales position in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment; experience in business to consumer sales a plus 
  • Relationship builder with a strong bend for our mission 
  • Positive attitude through change; can maintain composure in stressful and uncertain situations and inspires others to do the same  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English) 
  • Chat agents perform their day-to-day tasks on a computer. They must be able to easily operate a computer, especially in terms of checking and responding to emails as well as utilizing live chat services and software
