Role Overview

Join the Digital Technology Transformation line of business and help the team improve the way healthcare is delivered.

The ideal candidate will bring credible expertise in developing and executing foundational strategies and plans to support the implementation and optimization of large complex enterprise Epic and other strategic clinical IT initiatives. They will have a well-developed fluency in knowledge of EHR’s and the impact strategic clinical IT implementations have on the organization, as well as experience developing, operationalizing, and advising on governance structures and ensuring program sponsors and leaders at all levels understand their role and are engaged and accountable. You will also understand the importance of change management activities required to ensure successful implementation and optimization of IT, including the alignment of operational readiness, communications and learning and education activities to ensure engagement and adoption of IT systems in an Ambulatory, Ancillary, or Inpatient setting. This individual will possess the ability to anticipate what the client needs, influence their decisions, and guide and advise them as to how to maximize the benefits of their IT investments. Be responsive and flexible in responding to client needs based on their culture, leadership style, knowledge, and expertise.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead clinical technology & innovation consulting engagements, provide critical thinking and advisory services, establish trust-based relationships with client leadership, and help ensure a rewarding experience for Chartis associates working on the engagements.
  • Develop and execute foundational strategies and plans to support the implementation and optimization of large complex enterprise Epic and other strategic clinical IT initiatives.
  • Understand the importance of change management activities required to ensure successful implementation and optimization of IT, including the alignment of operational readiness, communications and learning and education activities to ensure engagement and adoption of IT systems.
  • Anticipate what the client needs, influence their decisions, and guide and advise them as to how to maximize the benefits of their IT investments.
  • Ensure the firm’s work continues to be truly distinctive in its focus on client impact and tangible results. Translate high-impact projects performed for clients into longer-term, broader consulting partnerships and case studies.
  • Advance Chartis’ clinical technology & innovation thought leadership consistent with the firm’s mission, strategy, and business objectives.
  • Participate in industry conferences and speaking opportunities to continue to build the firm's reputation as a thought leader in the marketplace.
  • Serve as a knowledge expert in the provider industry, maintaining a deep knowledge of industry structural changes, legislative rulings, macro/micro trends, and general activities and events that affect Chartis’ clients and the firm.
  • Help define the talent required to support the firm’s growth plans; play a role in recruiting, mentoring, and developing the best consultants in the industry.

  • Qualifications & Desired Skills
  • A combination of at least 5+ years of healthcare consulting and health delivery operational experience, with an aptitude for healthcare IT and a primary focus on serving in an advisory role on large complex Epic implementations, clinical informatics, and optimizing the performance of people and process to facilitate transformation with strategic IT initiatives.
  • Demonstrated leadership (1+ years managing others), collaboration, project & program management, problem-solving, and influencing skills.
  • Experience delivering high-impact client work, developing intellectual capital, cultivating talent, and contributing to the development of new service offerings.
  • A track record of building relationships with senior client and industry leaders, both internally and externally, and maintaining those relationships over many years.  Experience serving as a trusted advisor at the most senior levels of hospitals and health systems.
  • Highly knowledgeable about related current trends in healthcare, including population health management, connected health, patient engagement, clinical quality and analytics and other forward-thinking topics.
  • Stellar reputation and referenced credibility as a trusted advisor with influencers, key clients, and decision makers within the health services sector.
  • Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, project management, problem-solving, and influencing skills.
  • Must be a clear and articulate communicator and have professional poise and presence with a diverse set of audiences, with the ability to partner across all levels within clients and Chartis.
  • Genuine passion for and commitment to the transformation of healthcare delivery.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or clinical informatics required. 
Salary range: $180,000-$200,000, plus may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, practice area, and other business and organizational needs.
