Chartis has offices in Boston, Chicago, New York, San Francisco, Washington D.C., and Nashville. Remote work is allowed. Most of the work is delivered either virtually or via travel to a client site.
Role Overview
We seek an experienced Physician Informaticist to join the Digital Transformation line of business as an advisor, consulting leader and subject matter expert in clinical transformation, physician engagement, change management, EHR adoption and provide leadership across multiple dimensions – thought leadership, consulting engagement delivery, client service, and cultural stewardship. As a member of the Digital clinical team, a Physician advisor is responsible for advancing the firm’s impact by contributing to the execution and delivery of large, complex consulting engagements which materially improve healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to the delivery of client engagements within Chartis’ lines of business including collaborating with delivery leaders and clients leading assessments, clinical engagement, solutioning, and problem-solving , developing, and overseeing team deliverables.
- As part of the clinical team contribute to the overall domain of transformation by crafting consulting solutions that advance our clients’ clinical and physician-based strategies and operations.
- Contribute to clients clinical EHR adoption, assessment, implementation, informatics, and organizational readiness.
- Be part of the line of business and firm’s thought leadership in the industry through the development of distinctive insights and new service offerings
- Build and maintain trust-based relationships with existing and prospective clients, drawing upon healthcare knowledge and insights to surface and discuss issues within and beyond the scope of specific consulting engagements.
- Embody the role of people leader by cultivating strong relationships with colleagues, as well as mentoring and developing consulting colleagues.
- Foster collaboration within engagement teams, across practices, and at all levels of the firm
- Help maintain a collaborative culture that attracts world-class, passionate, and mission-driven consultants.
Qualifications and Desired Skills
- Medical Doctor (MD or DO) required with 5+ years of demonstrated experience in provider leadership roles; other advanced degrees (e.g., MHA, MBA) are considered valuable.
- Prior management consulting experience is preferred.
- Experience leading informatics and EHR, Epic, Oracle Health (formerly Cerner), Meditech initiatives such as selection, planning, implementations, operations, optimization, upgrades and improvement.

Salary range: base is under review, plus may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The salary range for this role considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, practice area, and other business and organizational needs.
