Role Overview  

We are actively seeking a Director MSSD to support our client. This position is currently 100% Onsite in the Dallas-Ft. Worth Area. This role would be a contract role with the potential to be a contract to hire.  

Responsibilities  

  • Two locations
  • Work with a staff of 1700 providers
  • Support 22 medical Staff Meetings (include attendance tracking for CCPN)
  • Delegation process, audits, and reports
  • Performs administrative and technical duties to support initial appointment and reappointment
  • Supports granting of clinical privileges in accordance with hospital medical staff bylaws and credentialing policies and procedures
  • Ensures timely and accurate initial and reappointment applications are presented to the appropriate committee for review
  • Populates, maintains, and updates correct information into credentialing software
  • Identifies, investigates, and follows-up on all potentially adverse information received from credentialing sources according to established guidelines
  • Communicates appointment, reappointment, and clinical privilege decisions changes

Qualifications and Desired Skills  

  • Minimum of 5 years of credentialing experience
  • Ability to work onsite 
  • Expertise in Medical Staff Bylaws
  • Expert knowledge of Joint Commission and CMS Standards; helpful if familiar with State Regulations
  • MSOW experience preferred
  • Experience in Policy development as it pertains to Medical Staff Services Department, Hospital/Healthcare System Policies related to Medical Staff
  • Experience in creating privileges that reflect the practice of the system in collaboration with clinical chairs of departments.
  • CPMSM and CPCS preferred.  If not certified, expectation of achieving Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) within first year of hire.

Salary range: $60-85/hr. The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, practice area, and other business and organizational needs. Expenses would also be reimbursed.
